In addition to our colocation and bandwidth, ColoMAX appreciates that both equipment and data security are vital to our clients. All the facilities ColoMAX utilizes have comprehensive security systems include visitation access lists, security cameras, and guards at all entrances. These policies are consistent in all facilities.

The facilities are designed as a "box-within-a-box" construction for added security. There are man traps between multiple doors in the facility. The main entrance/exit to colocation facilities is staffed 24x7x365. Guards are also used for periodic walking spot checks through out the facilities.

All secondary entrances/exits to colocation facilities are staffed 24x7x365. No individuals can enter secondary entrances without NOC staff knowledge. Upon visual inspection via Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), NOC staff will activate elevators and doors which will provide access to the facility. Secondary exits are alarmed and monitored with a CCTV system.

All main entrances utilize man traps. All doors are monitored with a CCTV system. All personnel and subcontractors requiring access to colocation space must have permissions granted by a previously identified account contact and communicated to ColoMAX NOC staff. Individuals are identified with picture id and are biometrically scanned at time of entrance within the colocation facility and compared with in-house data files in order to be granted access.

Once granted access all individuals are issued badges that allow access only to specific areas within the facility. This is controlled through a cardkey system that prevents doors being opened without proper authorization. There are also with multiple doors between colocation rooms.

Within each colocation room customer's equipment in racks are placed either in dedicated or shared cages, depending on the number of racks and customer preference. ColoMAX on a special basis can provide a Secure Vault service where a biometrically secure, and physically isolated and contained area can be created within our secure data centers. This has been provided for previous customers under the product name "Secure Vault".

Rock-Solid Building Design

Ensuring the safety of equipment, data and staff is very important to us. Any newly constructed buildings must meet our current environmental, building and seismic requirements. Every facility has been retrofitted and constructed to meet the Essential Facility requirement, so after an earthquake or adverse event personnel may reenter the building without it first requiring an inspection.
